The God Who Sees
When Hagar was cast out from Sarah's presence, God came to her with news about her future. Because of that interaction, she gave God the name El Roi, or "the God Who Sees." The same God who "saw" Hagar sees us today. He sees our pain, our injustice, and He cares for our future. During the holidays, when many people feel invisible due to their isolation, it's important to remember that El Roi sees you too.
