What Joel Saw in Pentecost?
When the Apostles started speaking in tongues on the day of Pentecost, most of the onlookers naturally assumed it was because they were drunk. That couldn't be the case, though, since (a) it was nine in the morning, and (b) something very different was taking place. What happened on the day of Pentecost was the direct fulfillment of what Joel had said way back in Joel 2 - a Passage that was written nearly 900 years before the time of Jesus. What does Joel 2 say about Pentecost, and what is the main point of both Joel's prophecy and Peter's sermon?
