We know that Jesus is powerful. After all, He raised the dead, gave sight to the blind, and “rebuked” nature. There’s no doubt that He can do whatever He wants, any time He wants.
But is it possible for Him to calm my soul?
Our lives can be full of anxiety, fear, suspicion, danger, and sadness. We call on God to help us, but do we actually believe He can? Or, more specifically, how can we be know if He has?
For that, we turn to the Psalms of Lament. These psalms make up nearly 1/3 of the book of Psalms, and they are very relatable when we find ourselves in tough times. They also teach us a lot about our own faith and how it practically intersects with the world around us.

CloseThe Hallelujah Psalms are primarily located in the back of the book and usually serve a very general purpose (although some can be specific). Why is it important for us to think on these Psalms and how can they help us in modern day worship?
