Decide to Meditate on God's Word
From Series: "Decide! (Hillside Theme - 2024)"
The word for Hillside in 2024 is "Decide." Will we choose to follow God, or will we choose to serve ourselves?

John 17 is a masterclass in prayer, but few of us take the time to really examine what it talks about. Jesus prays for Himself, His Apostles, and the disciples at large, but He also prays for the work that He’s engaged in, as well as for the Apostles to develop strong trust in God’s Word.
And unity. He prays for the church to be united in purpose as a powerful testimony to the world.
Is that what we’re praying for? If not, maybe a quick re-examination of what Jesus prays about can help us focus on what we should be doing with our own life.

CloseTo meditate on God's Word is totally different than "studying" it or even "reading" it. Biblical meditation can be done anywhere, at any time, for any reason. And it should. If we want to create a mind that is 100% devoted to God, we have to cultivate a thoughtful understanding of God's Word. Keep it close -- in your heart and in your mind -- and watch how your spiritual life grows as a result.
