With all of the division surrounding decrees from governing church councils, a lack of knowledge about day-to-day operations of a local church, and the miles and miles of church bureaucracy, I’m really thankful for one fact:
I’m glad I go to an autonomous church.

They didn't think he had any business in the "royal presence" of the King of Israel. But Amos had a message to share with the people, and most of it centered around their worship.
