What Happened to the Sloth's Field?

One of the accusations that is so often leveled at Christians is that we’re “narrow-minded” in our approach to life. If that’s true, then let it be because that’s how our Master taught us to be. Hypocrisy and bigotry is not excusable, but being “narrow-minded” in response to our faith is not only advisable, but the only acceptable position that God has allowed us to have.

CloseWhen Solomon walked by the sloth's field in Proverbs 24, all he saw was laziness. An area that once held so much promise was wasted by someone who decided -- for whatever reason -- to simply give up. But is it possible that there was more happening here than just laziness? What kind of reasons did the sloth make to justify his particular situation?
