Decide...To Be Baptized

The word for Hillside in 2024 is "Decide." Will we choose to follow God, or will we choose to serve ourselves?

When I first started preaching, someone once told me to “Preach to broken hearts, because there’s one on every pew.”
Sometimes, I think we spend too much time focusing on the head and not enough on the heart. In the end, what Christians need to remember — despite everything else — is that God is near to them.
Everything else hinges on holding fast to that idea.

CloseAt the end of every service, we offer an invitation that gives everyone an opportunity to get their life right with God -- whatever that may entail. Whatever you need and whatever we can help with, we want to. Last Sunday, we made that plea more direct: If you're not baptized, we want you to make the the choice to do so today. We're not in the business of coercing anyone to make a decision they're not ready for, but chances are, if you've attended services for any length of time, baptism is something you've considered. Possibly even prayed about. And regardless of what you may think, you're ready. We can't wait to help you take this all-too-necessary step.
