Our spiritual family is one of the greatest blessings we have as Christians. It strengthens us, encourages us, corrects us, and supports us when times get tough.
But we only get out of it what we put into it. If we join a church to see what they can give to us, we’ll only find bitterness. If we join a church asking how we can contribute, we’ll find blessings and more.
Which one describes me?
In this theme service, we looked at how Christians are first drawn from afar, how we’re united by faith, and that hope drives us forward.

CloseBe honest: Does it really feel like Jesus' yoke is "easy" and His burden "light" (Matthew 11:28-30)? Some of the time, it feels quite the opposite. Even if there is plenty of hope and grace, God's plan of salvation is fraught with temptations, and difficulties. It makes it hard for us to really "be excited" about living a life filled with so many challenges. And yet, 1 John 5:3 says that true obedience is when following His commandments are "not burdensome." How are we supposed to do that? How do we get to a point where His commandments are not only "not burdensome," but a delight for us to perform? Answer: Full and total commitment to His Word.
