Solomon was right when he wrote in Ecclesiastes 1:9, “there is nothing new under the sun.” That applies to the true doctrine of God, as well as false doctrine. There’s virtually no “new” heresies, just repackaged old theories that were refuted 2,000 years ago.

CloseIn Judges 12, "shibboleth" was a code word that the Israelites used to determine who was with them and who was their enemy. In 2023, a "shibboleth" can be any man-made litmus test we use to determine who is faithful and who is not. Some of these are necessary (1 John 4:1-6), while others (Matthew 15:1-9) are unBiblical. If we have any of the latter, we need to tear them down -- for the sake of our soul's and others'.
