A message from the series “Toolbox for Evangelism.” Evangelism becomes a lot easier once we realize the need for evangelism in the first place.
But we already see the need, don’t we? God tells us to do it and we do it — simple as that, right?
It should be, but the need for evangelism has its roots in a proper understanding of grace and mercy. Once we realize the gift that’s been given to us, it should be natural for us to extend it to others.
To put it simply, maybe the reason we don’t evangelize as we should is because we fail to see our own need for salvation — and in turn, fail to see the need of others.

CloseBesides Mr. Rogers, the lawyer from Luke 10 is probably the most famous individual to ask "Who is my neighbor?" Jesus saw through the question, and flipped it on its head, asking instead, "Which person proved to be a neighbor?" Isn't this the only question that really matters? Our neighborly attitude shouldn't be limited by culture or race, but by bandwidth. In other words, am I showing kindness and love and charity to as many people as possible, or only those I feel are worthy of it?
