A message from the series “Toolbox for Evangelism.” Evangelism becomes a lot easier once we realize the need for evangelism in the first place.
But we already see the need, don’t we? God tells us to do it and we do it — simple as that, right?
It should be, but the need for evangelism has its roots in a proper understanding of grace and mercy. Once we realize the gift that’s been given to us, it should be natural for us to extend it to others.
To put it simply, maybe the reason we don’t evangelize as we should is because we fail to see our own need for salvation — and in turn, fail to see the need of others.

CloseThe story of the Rich Man and Lazarus has multiple layers, but one of the things it does so magnificently is give us a glimpse of what life is like after death through the eyes of two men: Lazarus and an unnamed rich man. While Lazarus is silent, upon their respective deaths, the rich man immediately understands some pivotal truths about life that we would do well to remember while we're still alive.
