A message from the series “Toolbox for Evangelism.” Evangelism becomes a lot easier once we realize the need for evangelism in the first place.
But we already see the need, don’t we? God tells us to do it and we do it — simple as that, right?
It should be, but the need for evangelism has its roots in a proper understanding of grace and mercy. Once we realize the gift that’s been given to us, it should be natural for us to extend it to others.
To put it simply, maybe the reason we don’t evangelize as we should is because we fail to see our own need for salvation — and in turn, fail to see the need of others.

CloseIn Judges 12, "shibboleth" was a code word that the Israelites used to determine who was with them and who was their enemy. In 2023, a "shibboleth" can be any man-made litmus test we use to determine who is faithful and who is not. Some of these are necessary (1 John 4:1-6), while others (Matthew 15:1-9) are unBiblical. If we have any of the latter, we need to tear them down -- for the sake of our soul's and others'.
