A message from the series “Toolbox for Evangelism.” Evangelism becomes a lot easier once we realize the need for evangelism in the first place.
But we already see the need, don’t we? God tells us to do it and we do it — simple as that, right?
It should be, but the need for evangelism has its roots in a proper understanding of grace and mercy. Once we realize the gift that’s been given to us, it should be natural for us to extend it to others.
To put it simply, maybe the reason we don’t evangelize as we should is because we fail to see our own need for salvation — and in turn, fail to see the need of others.

CloseIt seems so simple. When Paul went to Corinth (according to 1 Corinthians 2:2), he said that he wanted to know nothing among them except "Jesus Christ and Him crucified." A bold step for a town that prided itself on their philosophy and intellecutalism. But a closer look at 1 Corinthians shows that at these five words -- if implemented properly -- would have fundamentally changed who they were and eliminated most of their problems. Then as of now, a focus on "Jesus Christ and Him Crucified" is more than enough.
