A message from the series “Toolbox for Evangelism.” Evangelism becomes a lot easier once we realize the need for evangelism in the first place.
But we already see the need, don’t we? God tells us to do it and we do it — simple as that, right?
It should be, but the need for evangelism has its roots in a proper understanding of grace and mercy. Once we realize the gift that’s been given to us, it should be natural for us to extend it to others.
To put it simply, maybe the reason we don’t evangelize as we should is because we fail to see our own need for salvation — and in turn, fail to see the need of others.

CloseThe imprecatory psalms are hard to sing because they feel emotional...and angry. In fact, they're a representation of God's hatred of sin, and maybe the reason they make us feel "uncomfortable" is because we don't hate sin the same way. Before we sing them though, remember that we could have sin ourselves. If we're willing to "call down the thunder" on others, make sure you're not going to call it down on yourself, too.
