A message from the series “Toolbox for Evangelism.” In the words of one of our members, visitors are a gift. They come into our assembly simply with the intention of worshipping with us. Prayerfully, if possible, we can help them get closer to God as well.
We need to be intentional about the way we treat our visitors. Not just with a handshake and a smile, but a desire to actually get to know them better.

CloseEvangelism becomes a lot easier once we realize the need for evangelism in the first place. But we already see the need, don't we? God tells us to do it and we do it -- simple as that, right? It should be, but the need for evangelism has its roots in a proper understanding of grace and mercy. Once we realize the gift that's been given to us, it should be natural for us to extend it to others. To put it simply, maybe the reason we don't evangelize as we should is because we fail to see our own need for salvation -- and in turn, fail to see the need of others.
