Making the decision to put on Christ in baptism is arguably the most important decision any of us will ever make. It also comes with a lot of responsibility, so why should anyone leave their life of leisure to do it? That was the exact question that Paul approached the Athenian Philosophers with on Mars Hill in Acts 16.

Sometimes, I think we spend too much time focusing on the head and not enough on the heart. In the end, what Christians need to remember -- despite everything else -- is that God is near to them. Everything else hinges on holding fast to that idea.
