Message: “The Power of Jesus’ Death” from Shane Carrington

A message from the series “Gospel Meeting 2023.” To Christians, the death of Jesus on the Cross is arguably the most important event in history. It signals His love for us — seen in His self-sacrificial nature and giving Himself up for us.

Do you believe in the Crucifixion? Do you believe it’s real? Do you believe that it matters? If not, Shane Carrington has some words that might convince you otherwise.

Message: “The Beatitudes of Marriage” from Shane Carrington

A message from the series “Gospel Meeting 2023.” If you’ve been a Christian for any period of time, you’ve most likely heard of the Beatitudes (even if you’re not a Christian, you’ve probably at least heard of them in passing).

They’re a Biblical “listicle” of sorts; in Matthew 5, Jesus lays out all the ways in which someone is “blessed.” Blessed, Jesus says, are the “peacemakers,” the “humble,” and those that “hunger and thirst for righteousness.”

But what happens if you apply these same principles to marriage? Even though the primary application is to individual Christians, if two people choose to build their marriage around these principles, it will create one that will almost certainly stand the test of time.

Message: “Why Believe?” from Shane Carrington

A message from the series “Gospel Meeting 2023.” Faith is the beginning of every Christian’s walk, but why should we believe in God? What evidence is there for a God and that the Bible is His Word?

Message: “We Need a Revival” from Shane Carrington

A message from the series “Gospel Meeting 2023.” In order for radical change to take place, we need a revival — in our lives, in our churches, and in our homes.

Shane Carrington continues our meeting by talking about this very thing, and how our efforts ultimately need to redirect our focus towards God. Without Him, there’s no revival at all.

Message: “Toolbox For Evangelism (Turning the Conversation)” from Brady Cook

A message from the series “Toolbox for Evangelism.” We pray that God will give us opportunities to reach the lost, and part of that is taking advantage of the opportunities that do come our way. How do we turn the conversation to one that is more spiritual?

Message: “The Four People You’ll Meet This Week ” from Brady Cook

Our Gospel Meeting is coming up next week, and one of the best ways to prepare (besides making plans to come) is by inviting other people to come too.

What kind of people will you expect to meet though? People will have all different types of responses to an invitation like this, so it’s a good idea to get acquainted with them at the beginning of the week.

Message: “Toolbox For Evangelism (Creating an Evangelistic Church Culture)” from Brady Cook

A message from the series “Toolbox for Evangelism.” Evangelism by one person is great, but what happens when your local church has a culture of evangelism?

In other words, what if evangelism wasn’t just something that people talked about, encouraged, or discussed in Bible classes, but something that was expected of each and every individual member?

There’s no question it would be one of the most impactful things that church would ever do. After all, it’s far better to have 100 people teaching the Gospel than only a few. The results are exponentially better.

Message: “The Pride Paradox” from Brady Cook

Someone has once wisely called pride the most “brainless sin” there ever was. Not only is it short-sighted, but it leaves the one guilty with absolutely zero to show for their sins. Only destruction.

For that reason, pride is a little bit of a paradox. It can make you feel invincible — super human, even. But right when you feel that way, it begins the start of your downfall.

It’s a self-defeating sin, and one that many people don’t even know they’re guilty of (if they are). Why? Because the one guilty of pride usually is too proud to believe there’s anything wrong with them in the first place. That makes pride an especially dangerous sin for Christians.

Message: “Toolbox for Evangelism (What Can We Expect?)” from Brady Cook

A message from the series “Toolbox for Evangelism.” Before Jesus sent out His disciples into the world to preach the Gospel, He gave them one big piece of information: Persecution is coming.

It’s what we can expect too, and the sooner we realize that, the sooner we can prepare for its inevitability.

Message: “I’m Glad I Go To an Autonomous Church” from Brady Cook

With all of the division surrounding decrees from governing church councils, a lack of knowledge about day-to-day operations of a local church, and the miles and miles of church bureaucracy, I’m really thankful for one fact:

I’m glad I go to an autonomous church.
